It was a day of reconnaisance! For both competitors and media alike!

We did our own version of (media) recce today here in Quebec. The weather was great but the forecast is still calling for rain.. rain...rain....

We found our *shot* spots for tomorrow and the next day and the rally is certainly going to be one to remember. Spectator turnout is expected to be high despite the predicted weather. more...

It was a beautiful and blistering hot summer day in the hills of the Kananaskis Valley; a perfect scene for day 1 of the 2009 Rocky Mountain Rally.

At the end of day 1, Patrick Richard and Alan Ockwell of Subaru Team Canada are in the lead, with Antoine L'Estage and Nathalie Richard following close behind.

The two teams have been running neck and neck as demonstrated on SS3, the longest stage of the rally (30+km), where only 0.2 seconds separated their stage times. more...
