Rockstar Energy Drink Driver Tanner Foust had a spectacular weekend in Colorado at the Global RallyCross Championship: Last Chance.

Foust won the first of two races of the weekend, progressing through a series of knock-out elimination heats in the head-to-head SuperRally competition, to face down and beat two-time World Rally Champion Marcus Grönholm.

"It was an amazing feeling to beat Grönholm to the finish," said Foust. "I consider him one of the very best drivers in the world and it was almost unbelievable to find myself standing in the middle of the podium." more...

Travis Pastrana is excited to debut his new 2011 WRX STi that he will be racing at this year’s X Games Rallycross competition. This will mark his fifth time competing in the Rally series at X Games. Pastrana has already set two world records in his Subaru WRX STi, attained four Rally America Series Championships (’06-’09) and is looking to win his third Rally Gold this summer at X Games 17 in Los Angeles. Two-time World Rally Champion Marcus Grönholm earned a hard-fought rallycross victory Saturday at the Global RallyCross Championship: Last Chance, held at Pikes Peak International Raceway near Colorado Springs.

The legendary Finnish driver put in a consistently strong performance in the Best Buy Ford Fiesta, advancing into the final race with wins in every heat. "I am very happy for the win. I got the launch right and had a good start," said Grönholm. "Then I was in front and just focused on my driving." more...

Subaru Rally Team USA driver David Higgins made an impressive debut in his first RallyCross competition this past weekend with a 2nd Overall finish at 3rd round of the Global Rallycross Championship held at Pikes Peak International Raceway near Colorado Springs. Higgins, a multi-time British and American rally champion had never competed in wheel-to-wheel rallycross before but his strong background in both rally and karting helped him adjust quickly at the wheel of his BFGoodrich Tires-shod 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI. more...

Wellsboro, PA, USA -- Subaru Rally Team USA’s David Higgins and co-driver Craig Drew win the 2011 Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally (STPR) by a narrow margin of 1.3 seconds over rivals Antoine L’Estage and Nathalie Richard. Higgins had a 37 second deficit halfway through day two after losing intercom at the start of Stage 8 and puncturing a tire on Stage 9, but came back to lead the rally by 2.5 seconds going into the final stage. This is the third time Higgins has taken the outright STPR win in his career, having won the event back in 2002 and 2003. more...

Calgary, AB, Canada -- Quebec driver Antoine L’Estage (of St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC) and his co-driver Nathalie Richard (of Halifax, NS) won this past weekend’s Rocky Mountain Rally, the second round of the 2011 Canadian Rally Championship amidst extreme weather conditions in the Kananaskis region of Alberta. This marks their fifth consecutive victory in the series, after having won the last three events in the 2010 season and the first round of 2011 earlier this year. more...

Monster World Rally Team driver Ken Block and co-driver Alex Gelsomino headed to South America for their first visit to WRC Argentina and came away with their best-ever WRC stage finish this past weekend. Over the course of the rally, Block and Gelsomino attacked the notoriously difficult stage roads of the Argentinean country side at a promising pace, showing consistent top 10 stage finishes, until a broken driveshaft stunted their effort. more...

Portland, OR, USA -- Subaru Rally Team USA’s David Higgins and co-driver Craig Drew took a commanding win at the Oregon Trail Rally, round four of the 2011 Rally America Championship. Higgins finished 3 minutes 26.9 seconds ahead of rival Antoine L’Estage and won ten of the fifteen stages. It was a tight battle with David Higgins but the Mitsubishi Rockstar crew of Antione L’Estage and co-driver Nathalie Richard suffered three tire punctures in a row on day two, which cost them the chance to keep pace with Higgins. more...

Ocean Shores, WA, USA -- Subaru Rally Team USA’s David Higgins and Craig Drew of the United Kingdom were declared the winner of the shortened Olympus National Rally, finishing Stage 6 with a 15 second lead over the second place Rockstar Mitsubishi crew of Antoine L’Estage and Nathalie Richard. Subaru Rally Team Canada driver Pat Richard of Squamish, British Columbia completed the overall podium.
